WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle has had an incredible career as a professional wrestler in WWE and TNA. He has pretty much done everything in the business. Recently, Angle shared the storyline that he most regretted doing.
While speaking to the Great Offshore Sportsbooks, Kurt Angle mentioned that he was uncomfortable playing the role of a pervert who wanted to take advantage of Booker T’s wife Sharmell. He said the storyline not only made him uncomfortable, but he apologized to Booker T and Sharmell for participating in it too.
“Yeah! When Vince McMahon turned me into a pervert that was trying to take advantage of Booker T’s wife. Sometimes Vince would come up with these ideas and had people thinking what was going through his mind. It made me queasy. I even had to apologize to Booker and Sharmell (Booker’s wife) before and after I did my promos or whatever I did with them. So, it was a very uncomfortable situation.”
Angle shared that he regrets doing the role. He also did not want to do it in the first place but had to do it because Vince McMahon wanted him to.
“Yeah, he brought us all into an office and told us what we were going to do. ‘Kurt’s going to hit on your wife and he’s going to try to have sex with her.’ And I know Booker T and Sharmell were thinking, ‘holy shit, this is crazy,’ you know? So I was too. I didn’t want to do it, but I did because Vince wanted me to. So that was the only thing I really regretted about the business was doing stuff like that,” Kurt Angle said.
