WWE NXT Results:

Bayley & NXT Women’s Champion Giulia vs. Roxanne Perez & Cora Jade

As soon as the bell rings, all four women tear into each other. Giulia and Bayley clear the ring. Giulia and Perez trade pin attempts and submissions. The fight spills out of the ring. Perez and Jade both land dives, whipping out Bayley and Giulia.

After the break, Perez and Jade are working over Bayley. Bayley manages to tag in Giulia. Giulia clears the ring. Jade accidentally decks Perez. Giulia lands a head butt. Bayley follows that with a diving elbow drop for the win.

Winners- Bayley & Giulia

Grade: C+

These four seemed to be going through the motions tonight. Will the accidental contact between Perez and Jade go anywhere? That was the only interesting thing to come out of this match.

The Grayson Waller Effect

Waller tells the Atlanta crowd to give it up for the hometown boy Austin Theory. The crowd cheers. Waller dumps on Atlanta, which doesn’t seem to sit well with Theory. Waller introduces their guest tonight, NXT Champion Oba Femi. Femi joins A-Town Down Under in the ring. Waller continues to trash Atlanta. Theory says the crowd sees Femi as a main roster star. Waller and Theory don’t see it. Femi says he’s done more in NXT than either of them has combined. The crowd chants for Theory to turn on Waller… so he does.

Theory turns his back, and they have a good laugh. Femi and Waller go back and forth. Femi challenges either Waller or Theory to a title match at Vengence Day. A split screen shows Trick Williams power walking to the ring. NXT GM Ava walks out on the stage to tell Femi he doesn’t make the matches. Williams’ music hits, and he power walks to the ring. Femi and Williams go nose-to-nose. Theory attack. Williams takes out Waller and Theory. Femi surprises Williams with a Fall From Grace Powerbomb.

Grade: B

Waller’s is a fun bad guy, but The Grayson Waller Effect is not exactly Piper’s Pit. This segment was better than the last few, as the interplay between Theory, Waller, and Femi was highly entertaining. This writer has no interest in seeing Waller face Femi. Theory, on the other hand, is interesting. Williams should get a rematch, but at this point, who knows when that will happen?

Trick Williams vs. Wes Lee

Williams is still worse for wear after eating a powerbomb from Femi. Lee works over Williams. The referee throws the match out after Williams won’t stop beating down Lee.

Winner- Wes Lee

Grade: B

Good but fast, with a lame ending. Let these two just fight.

NXT Women’s North American Championship Match: Fallon Henley (c) vs. Shotzi

Shotzi is in control early. Henely retains after hitting her finish for the win.

Winner- Fallon Henley

Grade: C+

Solid match. Shotzi was a weird choice, but maybe they are saving Stephanie Vaquer for a PLE. This was clearly just filler.

Cedric Alexander vs. “All Ego” Ethan Page

Page eventually hits his finish for the win. Page tries to beat Alexander down after the match. Je’Von Evans makes the save.

Winner- Ethan Page

Grade: C+

Alexander needs to win a match. Hard to invest in these types of matches if the good guy hasn’t won a match in a millennia.

WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship Match: Bianca Belair & Naomi (c) vs. Lash Legend & Jakara Jackson

Legend and Jackson control much of the match. Belair and Naomi get the win after a double KOD on Jackon.

Winners- Bianca Belair and Naomi

Grade: B

Good match. Hopefully, this isn’t the end for these teams. All signs point to Liv Morgan and her bodyguard as the next feud for the champions, but it shouldn’t be. Legend and Jackson deserve an extended feud for the championships.
