A new match has been announced for WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event on January 25th.
On the January 17th episode of WWE SmackDown, Braun Strowman made his return and saved LA Knight from Jacob Fatu and Tama Tonga of The Bloodline. He got into a staredown with Fatu, and Tonga pulled his stablemate out of the ring.
WWE then announced that Strowman would face Fatu at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event.
Strowman had been absent since the December 27th episode of WWE SmackDown. He had been sidelined due to a bad flu that caused him to lose over 30 pounds.
The updated card for WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event is as follows:
- World Heavyweight Championship: Gunther (c) vs. Jey Uso
- WWE Intercontinental Championship: Bron Breakker (c) vs. Sheamus
- Braun Strowman vs. Jacob Fatu
- Shawn Michaels moderates contract signing between Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens
