  • We’ll hear from Josh Alexander

TNA iMPACT Results:

This week’s episode of TNA iMPACT kicks off with a recap of last week’s show.

Frankie Kazarian joins the commentary booth before the opening contest.

Trent Seven vs. Leon Slater

  • The finish of the match saw Leon Slater hit Trent Seven with a Swanton 450 to score the pinfall victory.

Winner: Leon Slater

After the match, Frankie Kazarian attempted to jump Leon Slater from behind but Slater caught him in the act and Kazarian backed down.

Grade: B+

Really fun match to kick off the show. I could have done without Kazarian on commentary, but the purpose behind him being there due to Slater being in action makes sense. I’m assuming these two are gonna end up facing each other this weekend at Genesis.

Will Joe Hendry finally win the big one at TNA Genesis?

A video package airs for Joe Hendry, hyping up his match against Nic Nemeth for the TNA World Championship this weekend at TNA Genesis.

Ash and Heather by Elegance host a pre-launch TNA Knockouts Tag Team Championship celebration in the ring and are awarded cardboard cutouts of themselves wearing the Knockouts Tag Titles. It’s just as cringe as it sounds.

Ash by Elegance runs down a long list of everyone she has to thank like she’s on a podium winning an Academy Award. Unfortunately, there was no music to play her off but there were plenty of boos. Heather follows up and does something similar but not nearly as dramatic.

The real TNA Knockouts Tag Team Champions Spitfire comes out and the two teams exchange insults back and forth which leads to a brawl. It ends with Spitfire beating up and ripping up the cardboard cutouts. I can’t believe I just typed that sentence in 2025. If I graded segments, this would be a definite F.

Will Sami Callihan and PCO get a shot at gold at TNA Genesis?

Sami Callihan and PCO are backstage with Gia Miller. PCO says some gibberish that I couldn’t make out. Callihan says he has a PhD in monster so he’ll translate for PCO and says tonight two monsters go at it with one of the greatest tag teams in professional wrestling history, The Hardys.

Callihan says whoever fights monsters must see to it that they don’t become monsters. Sami says there will be chaos and unpredictability and after tonight they are going to Genesis.

First Cla$$ vs. Eric Young and Steve Maclin

  • The finish of the match saw Eric Young hit KC Navarro with the top-rope elbow drop to score the pinfall victory for his team.

Winners: Eric Young and Steve Maclin

After the match, The System came out on the stage and had a staredown with Maclin and Young. These two teams will face each other at Genesis this weekend.

Grade: B

Fine tag match. Nothing really to say about it. Nothing bad, nothing great. Just a good, solid tag match. The aftermath also set the stage for another match at this weekend’s pay-per-view. No complaints overall.

A confessional on TNA iMPACT

A vignette airs between Rosemary and Masha Slamovich and the two host a confession ahead of their Clockwork Orange House of Fun match at Genesis. Rosemary promises that Slamovich is stepping into the ring with one of the most violent women in Knockout’s history this weekend.

Josh Alexander makes his way to the ring with the Northern Armory. Alexander says he was supposed to have a match with Mike Santana at Genesis to settle things but Santana got injured last week and the match is off. Alexander says there’s no way Santana can go this weekend.

This brings out Mike Santana, who says as long as there is air in his lungs, the match is still on. Santana wants to up the stakes and proposes an I Quit match between him and Alexander at Genesis.

Alexander accepts and says if Santana is good enough to make him say he quits this weekend he’ll look him in the eyes like a man and shake his hand, but that’s never going to happen. Alexander says he’s going to make an example out of Santana at Genesis.

Mike Santana says after he beats Josh Alexander at Genesis he will be the new standard of TNA.

Laredo Kid vs. Jake Something

  • The finish of the match saw Jake Something hit Laredo Kid with a seated top-rope powerbomb to score the pinfall victory.

Winner: Jake Something

Grade: B+

This was KIND OF a squash match, and I typically don’t rate those, but the finish was so great and Laredo Kid did such a great job of selling Jake Something’s offense I had to give this one a rating. It was a really fun squash match. Despite that, there was still good stuff from both men.

Ace Austin is fighting for Chris Bey at Genesis

A very emotional video package airs for Ace Austin ahead of his match with Moose for the TNA X-Division Championship at Genesis. Recapping it would honestly be a disservice to this great video, so I highly suggest just watching it for yourself in the embedded post below.

TNA World Tag Team Champions The Hardys vs. PCO and Sami Callihan

  • The finish of the match saw Jeff Hardy hit a Swanton Bomb on Sami Callihan to score the pinfall victory for his team.

Winners: The Hardys

With that win, The Hardys’ match with the Rascalz on Sunday remains unchanged.

Grade: B+

Very fun main event. The Hardys are still doing great work in 2025 and Callihan and PCO put up a good fight in a losing effort. I’ll be curious to see if TNA has anything for Callihan and PCO at Genesis now that they are officially not going for the Tag Titles.

Jordynne Grace gets a dig in on Tessa Blanchard

Jordynne Grace comes to the commentary table with her contract for her match with Tessa Blanchard at Genesis and says that Tessa hasn’t signed it yet. Grace says she’ll leave the contract there for her to sign but if she no-shows Genesis it wouldn’t be the first time.

The final face-to-face before TNA Genesis…

Joe Hendry and TNA World Champion Nic Nemeth both come to the ring to speak one last time before their main event match this weekend at Genesis. Hendry says he and Nemeth have stood across each other countless times and the only thing left he has to say that he hasn’t said before is that he has to win at Genesis. Hendry says this multiple times to drive that point home.

Joe says they are going to start a new era in TNA this Sunday and it begins with him holding up the TNA World Championship. Nic Nemeth says he knows how bad Hendry wants this but being a World Champion is an entirely different level to put the company on your back and live that every day. Nemeth questions if Hendry is ready for that.

Nemeth says he wants to clear the air with one last thing and plays the clip of JBL laying out Hendry at Bound For Glory. Nic states he and JBL aren’t in this together and that he also took out his brother Ryan. Nemeth promises he had nothing to do with what happened and if he knew it happened he would have done something about it.

Ryan Nemeth comes out and calls Joe Hendry a snake and he’s trying to get in his head and manipulate him. Ryan says Hendry doesn’t care about TNA or the title, all he cares about is himself. Hendry says he’s wasted enough time on him and Ryan gets in his face. Hendry lifts him for a Standing Ovation, but Nic superkicks Hendry. Nic looks conflicted about what he just did.

Tessa Blanchard shows up at the commentary table and signs the contract. Grace shows up and attacks Blanchard. The two brawl into the ring and Grace hits her with the Juggernaut Driver as TNA iMPACT goes off the air.

TNA iMPACT Review:

Overall, I enjoyed this show. A solid effort for a go-home show to Genesis this weekend. Unfortunately, the show also featured that god-awful TNA Knockouts tag team segment and that has to drop the score down a tad.

Grade: B-
