Chad Gable says his match against Penta on WWE RAW was a reminder as to why he fell in love with wrestling.
Gable faced the debuting Penta on the January 13th episode of WWE RAW. Their hard-fought match sparked a lot of excitement among the fans. Penta scored the win, but Gable received plenty of praise for his performance as well.
The following day, Chad Gable took to Twitter and shared his thoughts on the match.
“I detest Penta, luchadores, and losing,” Gable wrote. “But last night was a reminder as to why I fell in love with this beautiful artistic expression of physicality and the sport of Professional Wrestling when I was 5 years old and have been obsessed with it ever since. I felt so alive.”
Chad Gable On Re-Signing With WWE
Gable re-signed with WWE in 2024. He discussed his decision to stay with the company in an interview on Insight with Chris Van Vliet.
“I just re-signed with the company for three more years,” he said. “To extend my relationship with a company that’s done so much for me, afforded me the things that I never thought I would have been able to do, travel around the world and back 100 times it feels like, see things I never would have saw, meet people I never would have met and just live a childhood dream, which so many people don’t ever get to do, how could I not be grateful for that?
“So to continue that relationship, I’m so excited, and I think to end my career, I don’t know that it’s gonna end. You ask me, I have ten years left in me. I feel physically as good as I ever have. But to be hitting a peak I feel like of my career at this point is awesome, so I’m excited for the future.”
