One of the most iconic characters in professional wrestling history was the late Bray Wyatt. One of the characters of his creation is Sister Abigail. Currently, Sister Abigail is part of the Wyatt Sicks faction. The character is played by former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Nikki Cross.
But before the Wyatt Sicks faction came into existence, the former WWE Champion had introduced the character of Sister Abigail, at least by name. But the character never came into existence. There was a time when WWE wanted to bring the Sister Abigail character to life. Recently, ECW veteran Shelly Martinez claimed that Wyatt told her that her name was thrown into the mix for being the real-life Sister Abigail.
While speaking on the Ring the Belle podcast, Shelly Martinez revealed that Bray Wyatt had reached out to her and told her that her name was being thrown into the mix for playing the character of Sister Abigail.
“I was so intrigued by Bray Wyatt, of course. I can’t even remember what year it was. Maybe 2014, 15. And I’m not here to do whatever, This is what he told me. He was like, ‘you know they’ve thrown your name around about being Sister Abigail.’ He’s like, ‘I’m a big fan of what you and Kevin used to do.’ And he started marking out for me. And I was like, you’re marking out for me. And so I was like, whoa, that’s crazy,” Shelly Martinez said. [H/T Fightful.com]
