It sounds like Adam Copeland will be returning to All Elite Wrestling sooner rather than later.
Earlier this year at Double or Nothing, after performing a dive off the top of a steel cage, Adam Copeland suffered a broken tibia in his match against Malakai Black. Copeland was forced to relinquish the TNT Championship and underwent surgery to repair the injury.
A specific timetable for Copeland’s in-ring return was uncertain, but we now have a very positive update on the matter.
According to Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp (via Fightful Select), The Rated R Superstar is expected back in AEW imminently. With multiple sources telling Sapp they expect Copeland back at the Dynamite: Fight for the Fallen special on January 1.
Not only does Copeland live in the area, but FTR made it clear on the December 18 episode of Dynamite that when they returned on January 1 to face the Death Riders they wouldn’t be coming alone.
Stay tuned to WrestleZone for more on Adam Copeland’s impending return to All Elite Wrestling as it becomes available.
