Eddie Edwards got into an altercation with a fan at TNA Final Resolution.
At TNA Final Resolution on December 13, Eddie Edwards and Brian Myers challenged The Hardys for the TNA World Tag Team Championship. During the bout, a fan talked some trash toward Edwards, and Edwards got in his face. They went back and forth, and Edwards started to walk away. The fan then slapped Edwards in the face, and Edwards slapped him back. Edwards then pushed the fan, who was taken away by security.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful then reported that the fan was escorted from the building and turned over to local police.
The incident sparked plenty of buzz in the wrestling world. AJ Francis and other noteworthy names spoke highly of Edwards.
Eddie Edwards is a former two-time TNA World Heavyweight Champion and TNA World Tag Team Champion, among other accolades.
Eddie Edwards On Re-Signing With TNA
Edwards re-signed with TNA in December 2023. He then discussed the move in an interview with PWMania.
“I think a lot of people know that this is the place I want to be. I’ve been here going on 10 years now, and I’ve stayed here that long for a reason. I always believed in what we’ve been doing and the goal is we want to accomplish it. So, my relationship with the company has always been great. To me, it has always been a no-brainer. My contract wasn’t up until the end of February, so we were ahead of schedule. We got it all set, planned out, and signed on the dotted line. To me that gives me comfort and pleasure knowing that I will be a part of TNA going forward with all this momentum that we have. To me, it’s without a doubt what I want to be a part of. We have all this momentum going forward, and with this big TNA announcement of us being back as TNA, this is an exciting time, and I wouldn’t want to miss it,” Eddie Edwards said.
