Chris Jericho appeared at GCW Highest In The Room 3.
Game Changer Wrestling held their GCW Highest In The Room 3 event on December 14. Among other matches, Matt Cardona faced EFFY. During the bout, ROH World Champion Chris Jericho ran in and attacked both competitors. Jerico then revealed that he was wearing an AEW shirt before he waved goodbye to the crowd.
Cardona is set to challenge Chris Jericho for the ROH World Championship at ROH Final Battle on December 20. He confronted Jericho on the December 5 episode of ROH on HonorClub and the following night on AEW Rampage. Cardona then beat Bryan Keith at AEW Rampage: Winter is Coming.
Jericho’s appearance shows that GCW and AEW are working together after Ricky Starks was pulled from his appearances with GCW, reportedly due to comments that EFFY made about Tony Khan.
Matt Cardona Responds
Matt Cardona then responded to Chris Jericho by saying that he was leaching off his buzz. He said that he needed to win the ROH World Championship.
