Great opening contest. For a minute there, this writer actually believed Zayn was going to win. If that’s not a sign a match is good, what is?

Grade: B
SKY and Morgan killed it tonight. Sky was flying all over the ring, and Morgan did a good job keeping pace. It’s worth noting that Morgan pulled out this win on her own. That’s exactly what she needs: definitive wins. She needs to be a semi-believable threat to Ripley when they lock up next. Even though she is a sniveling heel, she has to be able to beat someone.

Winner- Gunther
Grade: A
That was how you do a triple-threat match. This match was action from start to finish. There were zero periods of one of the competitors disappearing for minutes on end. Priest, Gunther, and Bálor tried to murder each other tonight. Priest ate a powerbomb on the ring steps. Gunther stood tall tonight and did it 100% on his own. Someone is getting his swagger back…

Michin lands Eat d’Feet. Green gets her foot on the bottom rope. Green goes up top. Niven hops on the apron. Michin dropkicks Niven off the apron. Green grabs Michin and lands a rolling Unprettiher for the win.
Winner and Inagural Women’s United States Champion, Chelsea Green!
Grade: C
Great to see Green get a big win, but there wasn’t much to this one. Niven’s involvement in the match was actually an outlier tonight; we have gotten nothing but clean finishes, so if anything that was a plus in this contest. We will probably see Green and Michin clash again. Hopefully, the next time, they will be given a bit more time to tell a compelling story, other than the crowing of a new champion.

Rhodes intentionally hits Crossroads on the chair and pushes the chair out of the ring to hide the evidence. The referee counts to three.
Winner- Cody Rhodes
Grade: B
This match delivered drama and intensity, showcasing both men’s toughness and ability to adapt. The chaotic sequence of referee bumps and chair shenanigans added an old-school flair to the storytelling. Cody’s calculated use of the chair to retain his title was a smart heelish move, adding complexity to his character. While the overbooked finish might not sit well with purists (me… I’m talking about me…), it worked in the story’s context.
WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event Review:
WWE SNME was a well-rounded show with memorable matches and logical storytelling. The triple-threat match between Gunther, Damian Priest, and Finn Bálor stood out as the best of the night, while the undercard delivered a mix of solid action and meaningful character development. The only real drawback was the rushed nature of the Women’s U.S. Championship match, which didn’t fully capitalize on its significance of crowning an inaugural champion.
Despite this, the show’s consistency and engaging main event left a strong impression. Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes has been showing more of an edge as of late. Blatantly cheating to retain his title was an interesting wrinkle that will further Owens’ crusade to prove that Rhodes isn’t who he claims to be. When Rhodes eventually turns heel… look out.
