Toni Storm is back.
At AEW Dynamite, Mariah May defeated Mina Shirakawa to retain the AEW Women’s World Championship. After the match, May’s celebration was interrupted by the returning Toni Storm. Storm was no longer in her “Timeless” persona. Instead, she was back to her rockstar-like look, and she used her old theme song. Storm stood on the stage and soaked in the crowd’s cheers as the show came to an end.
Storm had been absent from AEW since May beat her to win the title at AEW All In in August. During her time away, she competed for STARDOM and CMLL.
Toni Storm On Mariah May
Storm previously expressed her interest in facing May at AEW Grand Slam: Australia. Speaking with ESPN, she commented on the possibility.
“I hope that’s the case.” Toni Storm said. “I hope I get my rematch against Mariah May. We did this on her turf last time at Wembley in London. I think it’s time to bring it home for me. I think it’s time to get back to Brisbane and beat the ever-loving crap out of her in front of all my family and friends, and make my country proud.”
