A major change has been made to the World Heavyweight Championship match at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event.
World Heavyweight Champion Gunther kicked off the December 9 episode of WWE RAW. He was quickly interrupted by Finn Balor and The Judgment Day. Balor looked forward to their title match at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event. He vowed to beat Gunther and win the gold.
Gunther responded by saying that Balor was not on his level, and he never would be. The Judgment Day was about to attack Gunther, but Damian Priest made the save. This led to a brawl between all three, as Gunther attacked Priest, and Balor took the fight to both men.
Backstage, RAW General Manager Adam Pearce announced that Gunther would face Balor and Damian Priest in a Triple Threat Match at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event.
Gunther previously beat Priest at WWE Survivor Series after Balor attacked Priest during the match. Gunther beat Priest to win the title in the first place at WWE SummerSlam.
