Heath Slater jokingly pitches a Nexus return to WWE.
The Nexus had a memorable run in WWE, and the group launched the careers of Wade Barrett, Heath Slater, Justin Gabriel, and others. The faction broke up in 2011, and fans have often speculated about a potential reunion over the years.
Speaking with MuscleManMalcolm, Heath Slater reflected on his time in the Nexus and pictured a potential return.
“What really blows my mind about Nexus is that we were together for what, eight, nine months? People still talk about it 14 years later,” Heath Slater said. “Come on, man. Listen, WWE. Hunter, think about it, baby. We’re not boys no more. We’re men. Imagine if we came back. Just imagine. I could definitely see it.”

Fred Rosser On The Nexus
Fred Rosser previously said that the Nexus deserved to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. He discussed his time in the group on Insiders Edge: A Pro Wrestling Podcast and said that he was part of history.
“Again, it was an awesome spot to be in. But personally, I was dealing with demons. Personally, I wasn’t comfortable with myself, so when you’re amongst these seven guys, it’s very ‘I want this, I want that, I want that.’ I’m very calm, cool and collected, very passive-aggressive, I guess, so I didn’t want to step on any toes. But now fast-forward to over 10 years after doing the Nexus, I’m more me. Not only am I more me, I’m more myself with New Japan. I was more myself when I came out publicly, but I wasn’t myself when I was with the Nexus.”
“Again, I was a part of history, and it’s something that I’m very grateful for. I always say on social media or even in interviews that the Nexus need to be inducted into the Hall of Fame. Not as old men, but as veterans, as polished guys that still look good, that still do what they do. I’m still campaigning for a Hall of Fame induction. I wanna wear a ring just like Titus. My partner Titus got a Hall of Ring, the Warrior Award. I said it’s time for me to get one.”
