At the 2024 AEW All In London, former WWE Superstar Ricochet made his All Elite Wrestling debut. In his AEW run so far, the former WWE United States Champion has been featured frequently on AEW Television. He has also gotten multiple title shots for the AEW International Championship. Recently, the One and Only claimed that he’s the reason why the Jacksonville-based promotion exists.
While speaking on 103.5 KISS FM’s Hot Tag with Brady, Ricochet claimed that if he was not a part of the wrestling business then there would be no All Elite Wrestling. He believes that his work in the past paved the way for AEW to thrive in the wrestling world.
“I’m not saying I’m the sole reason. I’m just saying. If there wasn’t Ricochet, there wouldn’t be AEW. I’m not saying I’m the sole reason that it happened, but I am saying, what I have done with Ospreay, with PAC, with AR Fox, with Dragon Gate, with PWG, with everything. Overseas. New Japan. Everything I’ve done in my past career helped set up a world where AEW can exist. I’m not saying it’s just me. It’s me, it’s the Young Bucks. It’s Kenny Omega. It’s Ospreay. It’s everybody. I’m just saying, without Ricochet, there would be no Ospreay, really. You know what I’m saying? All of us guys are passionate and without that there would be no AEW,” Ricochet said.
