Triple H highlights one way that The New Day is special, and he uses it as an example for young talent.
In a video WWE posted on their YouTube channel, Triple H talked to The New Day about their journey in WWE. In one highlight, Big E emphasized one key lesson he learned early on.
“I was a much tighter performer when I was just in my own head about trying to please everyone or making sure the office liked everything” he said. “But the freedom of going out there and just trusting your own instincts, that allowed us to be so much better as performers.”
Triple H responded by noting that he used The New Day as an example for young talent.
“Yeah, you guys did that. Not to blow smoke, but I use that as an example for the young guys all the time,” he said. “They’re the example. We didn’t write any of that sh*t, we didn’t tell… no one on our end was smart enough to go, ‘Trombone. Pancakes.’ It just happened. Crazy ten years, right. Feels like a f*cking blink.”
The New Day will celebrate their tenth anniversary on the December 2 episode of WWE RAW.
