The November 26 episode of WWE NXT continued to build towards Deadline. Last night’s show featured two title defenses in addition to the Men and Women’s Iron Survivor Challenge next round match-ups.
Join us as we take a look at some of the biggest hits and misses for 11/26 NXT.
Hit – Axiom vs. Ethan Page on WWE NXT
There was no way both tag team champions were going to get to NXT Deadline. One had to lose and that person turned out to be Axiom. The former A-Kid didn’t went down without a fight. He and Ethan Page had a brilliant opener. Page giving respect to Axiom seems like a face turn he’s about to turn face. The post-match brawl between all the tag teams was some solid stuff.

Miss – Tony D’Angelo vs. Shawn Spears for the North American Title
Spears fell to a spine buster despite dominating the majority of the match. That’s the problem with “The Chairman.” He’s never been an effective heel. The sidekick gimmick worked for him in AEW but that’s about it. It’s hard to put over a young talent when the crowd doesn’t care about the veteran. And they don’t seem to care about either of them, to be brutally honest.
Hit – Shawn Michaels loses it with Eddy Thorpe
Ava took her first bump in ages on WWE NXT. She sold the impact brilliantly. After all, she’s the daughter of one of the best sellers in all of sports and entertainment. Shawn Michaels’ confrontation with Eddy Thorpe was great. This writer likes what they are doing with Eddy. The whole angle was great and, hopefully, let’s to something great for the former Karl Fredericks.
Miss – WWE NXT Women’s North American Title Match
The in-ring action was decent at best. Paxley couldn’t take out all three members of Fatal Influence by herself. At least, now she’s got Gigi Dolin by her side, or so it seems. The double enziguri spot looked great.
Honorable Mentions
- Giulia advanced to NXT Deadline after a solid match against Kelani jordan. She joins ZARIA, Sol Ruca, and former tag team partner Stephanie Vaquer. The final competitor will be determined in a “last chance” match-up next Tuesday.
- Eric Bischoff showed up via satellite on WWE NXT. The former RAW GM had some things to say to Trick Williams and Ridge Holland. This writer likes how they referenced Bischoff’s chaotic history as the authority figure in both WCW and WWE.
