Shinsuke Nakamura is back.
On the November 15 episode of WWE SmackDown, LA Knight issued an open challenge for the WWE United States Championship. Legado del Fantasma as a whole answered, and Knight gave Berto a shot at the title. Knight emerged victorious, but his celebration was quickly interrupted.
After the bell, Knight was blindsided by the returning Shinsuke Nakamura, who laid him out with two vicious kicks. Nakamura stared down at Knight and walked away.
Nakamura has been absent from WWE television for several months. He has not wrestled on WWE television since April 22, when he lost to Sheamus on WWE RAW. Nakamura has competed at many live events and in a pair of dark matches since then.
