TNA iMPACT Results

This week’s episode of TNA iMPACT kicks off with a recap of last week’s show.

Mike Santana vs. KC Navarro (w/ AJ Francis)

  • Mike Santana hits KC Navarro with Spin The Block to score the pinfall victory.

Winner: Mike Santana

Grade: B+

Very fun match to open tonight’s episode of iMPACT. Mike Santana is a main eventer in the making for TNA and if they are smart his trajectory will lead him right to the TNA World Championship at some point in 2025.

The Nemeth brothers are ready for action tonight

Nic and Ryan Nemeth are backstage with Gia Miller. Nic says he understands why Santino made his match tonight a non-title match but the world knows he’s a fighting champion. He puts over his next title challenger at Turning Point, Eddie Edwards and knows The System will attempt to interfere. Ryan says he has Nic’s back at Turning Point but first he needs to get revenge on Joe Hendry tonight for the video he played last week.

Ace Austin and The Hardys are backstage with Gia Miller. They are interrupted by Trent Seven who is gloating about what he did to Speedball Mike Bailey last week. A brawl breaks out and Hammerstone and Jake Something joins in. Santino Marella breaks things up and is furious.

The Rascalz vs. Alan Angels and Jake Crist

  • The finish of the match saw The Rascalz hit Alan Angels with Feed ‘Em to the Lions. Trey Miguel scores the pinfall victory for his team.

Winners: The Rascalz

Grade: B

This was a fun tag team match that was mainly a showcase for The Rascalz. It helped get Trey Miguel and Zachary Wentz back in the win column and there’s nothing wrong with that. While Wentz had a brief run with the X-Division Title, these two belong in the tag team division and a match between them and The Hardys in the future would be money for TNA.

The Northern Armory vs. Eric Young, Steve Maclin, and Jonathan Gresham

  • The finish of the match saw Josh Alexander hit Steve Maclin with the C4 Spike to score the pinfall victory for his team.

Winners: The Northern Armory

Grade: B

Josh Alexander scores yet another pinfall on Steve Maclin. I feel this is building to a point where Maclin finally overcomes and gets a big win over Alexander. With Alexander’s TNA deal only having a few months left on it (unless he quietly signed a new one), this seems to be the most likely scenario. Perhaps a loser leaves TNA match? I guess we’ll find out soon enough.

The rivalry between Frankie Kazarian and Rhino isn’t over

Frankie Kazarian is backstage bragging about winning the Call Your Shot Gauntlet match at Bound for Glory over Rhino. Kazarian says he beat Rhino in his hometown on the night he went into the TNA Hall of Fame. Kazarian is interrupted by Rhino who says he doesn’t need a trophy to prove that he can beat his f**king ass.

Steve Maclin is backstage frustrated and runs into Santino Marella. Maclin tells him this thing with Alexander is far from over and he either needs to do something about it or he will. Maclin runs into Eric Young. Young says he needs to start trusting him and that this loss was on him. Jonathan Gresham briefly interjects to say if they have his back, he has theirs.

Before their match, Joe Hendry reveals the “directors cut” of the Ryan Nemeth Story which was the exact same video from last week. Ryan Nemeth has a hissy fit.

Joe Hendry vs. Ryan Nemeth

  • The finish of the match saw Joe Hendry hit Ryan Nemeth with the Standing Ovation to score the pinfall victory.

Winner: Joe Hendry

Grade: B

This was a relatively quick match and was pretty much exactly what you’d expect it to be. Joe Hendry obviously got the win and that’s all there really is to it. Hendry now looks to try and rebuild the momentum he lost at Bound For Glory. I hope for his sake he’s able to do it.

Rosemary vs. Jada Stone

  • The finish of the match saw Rosemary hit Jada Stone with As Above, So Below to score the pinfall victory.

Winner: Rosemary

Grade: N/A

I can’t grade an utter squash match and that’s exactly what this was. Rosemary is certainly getting a renewed push in TNA as of late. I’m not sure what it’s leading to, but it’s evidently clear they have something planned for her long-term.

Alisha Edwards comes out on the stage and talks about TNA Knockouts Champion Masha Slamovich. Edwards says she carried her in their tag team and last week’s lost was a fluke. Slamovich comes out and says if she thinks last week was a fluke to prove it in a title match next week in a no disqualification match.

Tasha Steelz comes out to try and intimidate Slamovich. Jordynne Grace comes out to even the odds but says she still has her rematch clause for the Knockouts Championship. Grace says whoever wins next week she’ll be facing at Turning Point.

Joe Hendry joins the commentary team for tonight’s main event.

TNA World Champion Nic Nemeth vs. Brian Myers

  • The finish of the match saw Nic Nemeth hit Brian Myers with Danger Zone to score the pinfall victory.

Winner: Nic Nemeth

Grade: B+

After the match, Eddie Edwards attacks Nemeth and Joe Hendry comes out to make the save with a kendo stick as TNA iMPACT goes off the air.

TNA iMPACT Review:

A solid episode of TNA iMPACT tonight. The show had a few good matches and some solid storyline development heading into Turning Point. I don’t really see any titles changing hands at that event, but I’ve been wrong before. We’ll see where things go in the coming weeks.

Grade: B
