A new report provides an update on WWE ID.
WWE continues to announce designated prospects for their new developmental program. The company revealed Marcus Mathers and Sam Holloway as new prospects. The duo filmed an executive with William Regal.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful (via Fightful Select) reports that in addition to Regal, former NXT star Timoty Thatcher is involved with WWE ID. He is believed to be working in a training or coaching capacity.
Sapp writes that WWE also has “some more familiar names” that they plan to reveal as part of WWE ID. The report notes that the program will extend to talent on the independent scene who have been signed to major companies in the past.
Per Sapp, many WWE ID deals were agreed to “a while ago.” Some of the talent involved have worked AEW or ROH dates since they started talking with WWE.
