Matt and Jeff Hardy still have some tricks up their sleeves.
The brothers reunited in TNA this year and currently reign as the company’s Tag Team Champions. The title win is just the latest accolade in their storied careers, but they still believe they have a lot more to offer the pro wrestling community. During a recent interview with WrestleZone, Matt and Jeff said there’s a lot left to do in their “last run” together, including the return of a few familiar faces.
“I think there is some reinvention for us both to get to. I think that’s something that we’re going to do,” Matt Hardy explained. “And I think with the place that Jeff is at in his life personally and professionally, I think he is going to kill it. He’s going to be great at it. I think there is room for him to use some Broken Matt and Brother Nero and some Willow or the Wisp, hit those characters.”
Matt also teased introducing some new characters that fans haven’t seen before.
“But I also think there is a lot of room to add new characters. And Jeff and I, we’ve had some ideas,” Matt added. “And we’ve done a little bit of collabing on some things we might do going forward. But I think there is a lot left in this ‘Last Run’ of The Hardy Boyz.”
Jeff Hardy teases a new look for Willow
Jeff Hardy said revisiting Willow (the Wisp) is at the top of his list. However, he said Willow might come back with a new look.
“Yeah man. I agree. Number one for me is Willow. The Wisp originally. But I did Willow, my last run in TNA I did it for a little bit. And this time man, there’s a new mask design I hadn’t picked up yet. There’s a new face plate. And definitely on my bucket list to recreate Willow in TNA at some point. And possibly man that Broken Universe, there’s always a portal that we could step through to bring that to life again. And that’s always exciting.”
