Bo Dallas Cites Stephen King’s The Stand As Wyatt Sicks Influence

Bo Dallas has named Stephen King as an inspiration for himself and Bray Wyatt.

Both Dallas and his brother Bray Wyatt were big horror fans, with their wrestling careers a testament to that. The Wyatt Sicks group was the brainchild of both men. However, it sadly didn’t come to pass until after Bray Wyatt’s untimely death.

Bo Dallas spoke about the inspiration for their approach in wrestling in an interview with Collider. He named Stephen King’s The Stand as a movie that was their biggest influence. He said that the duo were obsessed with horror films growing up. Additionally, he named the Stephen King character Randall Flagg being a huge inspiration for both men.

“Growing up, me and Windham were obsessed with horror movies. We loved everything from the classics to the really obscure stuff. One of our biggest influences was the ‘90s version of The Stand by Stephen King. We both loved that, and it’s funny because when we were coming up with ideas for characters, we both independently decided to draw inspiration from Randall Flagg without even realizing the other was doing it.”

Bo Dallas: The Fireflies Show Everybody Grieving Together

Bo Dallas continued to speak about his late brother. He noted how he sees the fans turning on their phone torches to make his “fireflies” is a way of collective grieving. Additionally, Bo Dallas added that the current Wyatt Sicks storyline is what is keeping him going after losing his brother.

“The way this is received by the WWE Universe and everybody watching, it’s just a different feeling. It is as if we’re grieving together , and I think people can feel our intentions and what we’re trying to do. It’s unlike anything I’ve ever been involved with… we’re trying to get through this together because we miss him, and we want him back.”

“This is everything I love. It’s what’s keeping me going right now. I know I’m in the right place, and I’m doing the right thing .”
