It’s almost time for AEW Dynamite!
All Elite Wrestling comes to Salt Lake City, UT, for tonight’s Dynamite and Rampage tapings. Darby Allin, Mercedes Mone, “Hangman” Adam Page, and more are advertised to appear at the Maverick Center.
Here’s what’s on tap for the October 23 episode of Dynamite.
HOOK reveals Taz’s attacker on AEW Dynamite
Taz was attacked off camera before the 5th anniversary episode of AEW Dynamite. This left his son HOOK to look for the person who put his father on the shelf.
Thanks to security cam footage, HOOK was able to identify the attacker. The big reveal is set for tonight’s Dynamite.
Daniel Garcia and Private Party vs. The Elite
After getting into The Elite’s face for not helping the AEW locker room against Jon Moxley and his group, Daniel Garcia joins forces with Private Party to take on The Young Bucks and Jack Perry in trios tag team action.
Matthew Jackson and Nicholas Jackson previously successfully defended their AEW World Tag Team Championship against Isiah Kassidy & Marq Quen at WrestleDream. Jack Perry retained his TNT Championship against Katsuyori Shibata on the show.
House of Black (Malakai Black, Brody King, & Buddy Matthews) in action
AEW announced in the lead-up to 10/23 Dynamite that House of Black will be in action on the show. The trio last competed on the October 17 episode of AEW Collision, where they went over Alpha Zo, Chris Nastyy & Olumide in a squash match.
Kyle Fletcher to speak on AEW Dynamite
Kyle Fletcher will, once again, attempt to explain why he turned on Will Ospreay.
Fletcher had the mic last week on Dynamite but didn’t address the betrayal because of the fans in attendance. Yep… Don’t be surprised to see Fletcher make not answering for his actions a gimmick, but he’s scheduled to speak tonight.
Fletcher turned heel at WrestleDream by costing Ospreay his International Championship in the three-way featuring Ricochet and Takeshita.
Kamille (with Mercedes Moné ) vs. Queen Aminata
One week after falling short of winning the TBS Championship, Queen Aminata laces up her boots to take on Mercedes Mone’s bodyguard Kamille in singles action.
Sammy Guevara vs. Shelton Benjamin
After making a huge AEW Dynamite in-ring debut against Lio Rush, Hurt Syndicate’s Shelton Benjamin returns to the squared circle to take on “The Spanish God” Sammy Guevara. This will be Guevara’s first match on Dynamite since September 11 when he lost to Ricochet.
Mark Briscoe (c) vs. Chris Jericho – ROH World Title Ladder War
Chris Jericho challenged Mark Briscoe to a rematch for the ROH World Championship after failing to beat him for the title at WrestleDream. Mark accepted the challenge only to add that he will defend his title in a match he and his late brother Jay Briscoe made famous in Ring of Honor.
Jon Moxley to appear on AEW Dynamite
Nobody is safe from Jon Moxley.
The AEW World Champion will appear on Dynamite just a week after he and his group took out multiple members of the roster.
Mox won the AEW World Championship from Bryan Danielson and WrestleDream.
