Utami Hayashishita Proves To Be The Ace Of Marigold

Utami Hayashishita has proven on multiple occasions that she has earned the right to be called the ace of Marigold.

Prior to her departure for WWE’s NXT brand, Giulia was arguably Marigold’s ace since the inception of Marigold. She was their stop star as she graced most of their events’ promotional posters and headlined multiple shows. Unfortunately, it was only a matter of time until she left for America to now compete under NXT. This leaves Marigold with massive shoes to fill following Giulia’s absence.

Luckily, Marigold is not short of talent with significant star power. Utami Hayashishita, alongside the likes of Giulia and MIRAI, is one of Marigold’s founding competitors. She teamed up with Giulia in the main event of the promotion’s inaugural show, Fields Forever, against Sareee and Bozilla. At Marigold Summer Destiny, she also put on a career-defining performance against her pro-wrestling inspiration, WWE’s IYO SKY, in a battle of two former Queen’s Quest leaders. In spite of her defeat in both matches, the perception towards Utami Hayashishita’s abilities as a wrestler did not decline. Instead, her display of athleticism and aggression in both bouts met her with equal praise and further international recognition.

Utami is also regular on Marigold’s smaller events, proving to be a workhorse in the division. She leverages over her fellow competitors in terms of experience and in-ring ability. Being a former World of Stardom Champion and 5 Star Grand Prix Winner immediately places her as the top wrestler in any ring she steps foot in.

Utami Hayashishita also took Marigold’s inaugural Dream Star Grand Prix tournament by storm. She topped the Dream League block with a total of 10 points before defeating her Star League counterpart, Mai Sakurai, in the finals back in September. This earns her the right to challenge for the Marigold World Championship currently held by the inaugural champion Sareee.

Sareee has previously claimed to be Marigold’s true ace as she claimed responsibility for pushing the company forward into success. Utami Hayashishita, on the other hand, has seemingly refuted this claim considering that Sareee is not exclusively signed to Marigold to rightfully call herself the ace of the company. Regardless, the two look to settle the score of who the ace is upon their future Marigold World Championship match at Marigold’s first event in 2025 on January 3rd.
