The Grizzled Young Veterans have issued a challenge for NJPW Fighting Spirit Unleashed.
During NJPW Royal Quest IV, the Grizzled Young Veterans (James Drake and Zack Gibson) appeared in a video message. They set their sights on the NJPW Strong Tag Team Champions and issued the champions to a match at NJPW Fighting Spirit Unleashed.
Later in the show, TMDK (Shane Haste and Mikey Nicholls) defeated Hiroshi Tanahashi and Tomohiro Ishii to retain the titles.
Drake and Gibson are former NXT UK Tag Team Champions. Since they left WWE, they had a run in TNA/IMPACT, and they have also wrestled for RevPro and other promotions. The duo appeared at AEW All In and have since competed on AEW programming multiple times. They also wrestled at NJPW Capital Collision in August.
