William Regal pays tribute to the late, great Eddie Guerrero.
October 9 is Eddie Guerrero’s birthday. The beloved WWE star passed away in 2005, but his memory lives on.
In a tweet, William Regal shared his thoughts on Guerrero in honor of his birthday. He said that Guerrero was the “best all round Pro Wrestler ever.”
“Without a doubt in my mind Eddie was the best all round Pro Wrestler ever,” he wrote. “An exceptional in ring command and ability to wrestle anyone in the world without ever meeting them until the bell went, entertaining skills and presence and exceptional ( once he figured it out) talking ability. And a very close friend. The greatest.”
Rey Mysterio On Eddie Guerrero
WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio previously discussed the similarities between his son Dominik Mysterio and Eddie Guerrero. Speaking on SHAK Wrestling, he noted that it was special to see some of Eddie in his character.
“I have to say this, and my wife is gonna kill me, but I’ve told her several times, ‘Did you ever cheat on me with Eddie?’ Because, Dom, I don’t know. She goes, ‘Yeah,’ and I never told you. I said, ‘No, no!’. I truly believe that Eddie is getting a kick out of this and, to a certain degree, Eddie has been in Dominik’s corner from the beginning.”
“It’s very special and sentimental to see my son’s growth and to see every now and then a little bit of Eddie in his character, his development, and the way he carries himself. There’s a lot of pride when I see him, and it reminds me so much of moments I lived with Eddie myself. Just watching him work—there’s no comparison, I’m just talking about little snippets and stuff he does that is just so Eddie-like. It could be as simple as the mullet. Sometimes, when I see pictures of him, it’s just like, ‘Wow, it’s just scary.’
