Our AEW Dynamite results for tonight include AEW World Champion Bryan Danielson teaming up with Wheeler Yuta to face PAC and Claudio Castagnoli, as well as Mercedes Moné defending the TBS Championship and the NJPW STRONG Women’s Championship against Emi Sakura. Plus, Jamie Hayter will face Saraya, Nyla Rose, and Willow Nightingale in a Number One Contender’s Match for the AEW Women’s World Championship.

AEW Dynamite Results
Backstage, Jon Moxley says no one wants the blood of “The American Dragon” on their hands. He says that Bryan Danielson has been trying to kamikaze himself, but no one was been able to take him out. Moxley says it has to be him. He looks forward to AEW WrestleDream and says that everyone will see the truth. Moxley highlights Danielson’s inner dragon and says he can become something terrifying. He says that as the world closes around Danielson, Bryan will embrace his dark side, but he will be ready.
Moxley vows that there are not enough people in Washington to stop him, and what he stands for is too great. He says he will run into the mouth of war. Moxley tells Danielson that one day, he will understand that it has to be this way, but he doesn’t have time to worry about that right now.
In a taped message, Bryan Danielson responds to Claudio Castagnoli’s comments in an interview and says this will not be his last match on AEW Dynamite. He says that he has been Castagnoli’s friend for 20 years, but tonight, there would just be him kicking his head in.
Darby Allin And Brody King Face-To-Face
Darby Allin comes to the ring and calls out Brody King. King comes out. Allin says he could have asked him nicely to face him at AEW WrestleDream. He looks back on their time together in the independent scene. Allin says he’s the one who helped Allin get a job here. He tells King that they have a lot in common. Allin says that King wants his spot. King says that he’s right, but he doesn’t take it for granted. He wonders what would happen if Allin died when he was climbing Mount Everest.
King says Allin needs someone to save him from himself. Allin dares him to put him out of his misery then and there. Allin hits King, who drops him with a stiff shot. Allin hits King with a rock. Officials come out to separate them.
Lance Archer and Jake Roberts are interviewed backstage. Don Callis comes in and says they have completed the first management-to-management exchange, as he reveals that Roberts is with him now. He says he has big plans for Lance Archer. Roberts is asked who he got, and he says he liked surprises.
Daniel Garcia is shown in the parking lot, and he is asked for an update on his status. He says he’ll say it to the fans later in the show.
Hologram Takes On Komander
Hologram vs. Komander
Hologram and Komander battle back and forth with fast-paced offense. He dives onto Komander at ringside. Komander keeps rolling with a flurry of offense. They keep battling. Hologram grounds Komander. Komander fires up again and dives onto Hologram at ringside.
Komander blocks a dive from Hologram and catches him with a powerbomb in mid-air. They trade blows. Komander spikes Hologram with a reverse hurricanrana. Both men are down after another hurricanrana.
Hologram catches Komander and spins him before he slams him for the win.
Winner: Hologram
Jake Roberts walks out on the stage. RUSH, Blast Mortos, and Dralistico attack Komander and Hologram. The trio stands tall. Roberts salutes the group, so they are seemingly aligned with him.
Backstage, Mark Briscoe is asked about Chris Jericho’s comments about his late brother Jay. He says that Jericho messed up, and at AEW WrestleDream, it isn’t about the ROH World Championship. He says he’s going to hurt Jericho.
Daniel Garcia Speaks On AEW Dynamite
Daniel Garcia comes to the ring to address the fans in his first appearance since AEW All Out. He says it feels good to see and hear the fans. Garcia says he has missed this. He thanks Tony Khan for giving this time to what he had to do. He says he had a lot of time to think, and he was thinking about what was best for him. He says it’s not always the easy answer or the popular answer.
Garcia explains that he never wanted to be a guy who didn’t follow up on his word. He says he felt like it was important to tell everyone what he was going to do. Garcia says he came to the conclusion that he could do whatever he wants because he’s one of the best professional wrestlers in the world, and with that in mind, it’s only right for him to stay where the best wrestle, AEW.
He promises that the Garcia who was staying was not the same person, as he would not cry and complain when he lost. Garcia says this is the Garcia that AEW can build its future on, and he vows to change everything. He tells everyone that he’s coming for the gold, and he says no champion is safe.
Swerve Strickland Update
A video package highlights what Swerve Strickland has been up to since his loss at AEW All Out. He is shown training. The broadcast team announces that Strickland will return at AEW WrestleDream. MVP and Shelton Benjamin are shown watching backstage.
In an interview, Mercedes Moné hypes up her upcoming match against Emi Sakura.
Daniel Garcia is shown high-fiving members of the locker room. Katsuyori Shibata seemingly offers to give him a TNT Title shot if he wins the championship at AEW WrestleDream.
Four-Way Match Crowns New Challenger
Winner Gets AEW Women’s World Title Shot At AEW WrestleDream: Jamie Hayter vs. Saraya (with Harley Cameron) vs. Nyla Rose vs. Willow Nightingale
Saraya leaves the ring. The remaining three competitors battle it out. Hayter hits a diving crossbody. Harley Cameron interferes as Saraya joins the action. Saraya takes control until Nyla Rose dives onto everyone at ringside. Rose gains the upper hand and overpowers Saraya. Hayter slams Saraya. The competitors keep brawling. In the ring, Nightingale and Hayter are left on their own, and they go back and forth.
Saraya and Rose get back in the ring. Nightingale drops Rose with a spinebuster, and everyone is down. Hayter fires up with a flurry of offense and suplexes both Rose and Nightingale. She blocks a chair shot from Saraya and blasts her with the steel. Cameron interferes, and Hayter slams her into the barricade. Penelope Ford returns and hits Hayter with a chair.
Hayter follows her to the back. Rose slams Nightingale. Rose drops Saraya with a neckbreaker. Cameron shoves Rose off the top, sending Nyla crashing to the floor. Nightingale battles back and forth. Cameron gets involved again, but Nightingale powerbombs her. Willow slams Saraya through a table and pins her for the win.
Winner: Willow Nightingale
Nightingale will challenge Mariah May for the AEW Women’s World Championship at AEW WrestleDream. May stares her down and rocks her with a headbutt. She whips Nightingale with the title.
Backstage, Chris Jericho and The Learning Tree are shown, as Bill says the people who need lessons the most want them the least. They confront Rocky Romero, as they say it’s a time for learning. Jericho highlights Romero’s background and notes that The Conglomeration inviting him in the way they did was as low as it got. Bill encourages him to see the big picture.
Jay White Returns To The Ring On AEW Dynamite
Jay White (with Juice Robinson) vs. Cody Chhun
White is caught off-guard early on, as Chhun catches him with a DDT. White takes control and starts dominating the action. He scores the win with the Blade Runner.
Winner: Jay White
After the match, Jay White calls out “Hangman” Adam Page. He says he knows “Hangman” is coming for him, and he wants to face him. White says he wants to put an end to this new version of Page, and he also expresses his intent to chase the world title. He makes it clear that he wants to face Page at AEW WrestleDream.
HOOK Targets Taz’s Attacker
HOOK is shown backstage, and he says he’s done chasing whoever jumped his father. Kip Sabian bumps into him, and HOOK grabs him. Sabian says he doesn’t know anything. Christian Cage and The Patriarchy confront HOOK. Cage says they’re both family men, and they’ve both been through it. He says he lost Killswitch, so he sympathizes with what HOOK is going through.
Backstage, AEW Women’s World Champion Mariah May is asked about facing Willow Nightingale. Nightingale attacks her and says she will make May a former champion at AEW WrestleDream.
Mercedes Moné Defends Her Titles On AEW Dynamite
AEW TBS Championship And NJPW STRONG Women’s Championship: Mercedes Moné (c) (with Kamile) vs. Emi Sakura
Sakura gains the upper hand early on. She chops Moné in the corner. Mercedes takes control with a meteora. Moné grounds Sakura and maintains the advantage. Sakura rallies. She dodges a meteora at ringside and dumps Mercedes onto the barricade. Sakura hits a splash while Mercedes is laid out on the barricade. She hits Mercedes and Kamille with a splash against the barricade. Back in the ring, Sakura drops Moné with a backbreaker. Kamille trips Sakura when the referee isn’t looking. Moné makes Sakura tap out to the Statement Maker.

Moné and Kamille gang up on Sakura after the match, but Kris Statlander makes the save. She brawls with Kamille and stands tall.
Backstage, Private Party are standing by with Stokely Hathaway. He says that he, like Private Party, always knocks it out of the park. Hathaway says he’s what they are missing. Quen calls him another guy that wants to jump on the bandwagon and says they don’t need him. Kassidy says they are finally doing it themselves. He looks forward to their title match at AEW WrestleDream and says they need this. Kassidy vows to beat the Young Bucks and take their spot.
Will Ospreay Calls Out Don Callis
AEW International Champion Will Ospreay comes to the ring. He discusses his match against Ricochet last week. He says that he wanted to move on, but Konosuke Takeshita got in the way of that. He looks back on his time in the Don Callis Family. Ospreay says he wants some answers. He calls out Don Callis. Callis comes out, and Ospreay refuses to hug him.
Callis brings up Ospreay’s success under his watch. Ospreay asks Callis if he sent Takeshita out to attack him. Callis ducks the question, but Ospreay keeps asking. Callis admits that he did it. He says that he sent him out of frustration because Ospreay would not listen to him. Callis says Ospreay dropped the ball at AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam and said he was too weak to do what needed to be done.
Ospreay blames him for his loss at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door. Ospreay says Callis doesn’t know shit. Callis says he might have to throw the best wrestler in the world again. Ospreay calls Callis scum and says they’re done. Callis hits him. Takeshita attacks him from behind, and they brawl. Kyle Fletcher stops him, and they argue.
Takeshita attacks Ospreay from behind. Callis gives Fletcher a screwdriver, but he refuses to use it. Fletcher walks away. Ospreay takes the fight to Takeshita. Callis grabs him, and Takeshita drops Ospreay with an elbow strike. Ricochet makes the save and takes the fight to Takeshita, who leaves.
Backstage, Top Flight discuss their loss on AEW Collision. They say they’re pissed off, and they should be the ones who have a title match at AEW WrestleDream. Action Andretti argues with them. Leila Grey says Andretti is the one who has been messing everything up. Dante Martin says Andretti will cost them if they don’t fix this.
In a promo, TNT Champion Jack Perry discusses his upcoming match against Katsuyori Shibata. He says he might deserve to be the TNT Champion, but it’s not about that. Instead, it’s about what you’re willing to take. Perry tells Shibata to take the title from him.
Bryan Danielson And Wheeler Yuta Team Up
Bryan Danielson & Wheeler Yuta vs. Claudio Castagnoli vs. PAC
Danielson and PAC start the bout and feel each other out. Yuta takes PAC down with a dropkick. Danielson and Yuta dive onto their opponents at ringside. They continue to control the action. PAC gains the upper hand. He tags in Castagnoli. He grounds Danielson. Yuta tags in and takes the fight to PAC.
Yuta gets in Castagnoli’s face, and Claudio doesn’t hit him. Danielson drives him to the outside, but Castagnoli slams him on the floor. Castagnoli and PAC isolate Yuta. PAC takes a cheap shot at Danielson at ringside. Yuta catches PAC with a kick. He rallies and drops Castagnoli with a DDT. Danielson tags in and clears house with a flurry of offense. He takes Castagnoli down with a hurricanrana. Danielson stomps Castagnoli. He starts stomping PAC as well. Castagnoli hits him with a stiff shot. Jon Moxley appears at ringside, and Castagnoli drills him with an uppercut. PAC grabs the ring bell hammer, but Yuta stops him. PAC yells at him. Danielson takes PAC down and makes him tap out to the LeBell Lock.
Winners: Bryan Danielson and Wheeler Yuta
Danielson takes the fight to Moxley and brawls with him into the backstage area. At ringside, Marina Shafir attacks Yuta. Danielson and Moxley keep brawling backstage. PAC continues to attack Yuta. Castagnoli hits Yuta with the ring bell hammer multiple times. Danielson and Moxley brawl down the ramp. Danielson fends off PAC and Castagnoli and stands tall as the show comes to an end.
Overall Grade: A
The strong main event of AEW Dynamite was a big boost, as was the hot closing brawl between Bryan Danielson and Jon Moxley. Moxley’s opening promo was a good way to keep spicing up this feud heading into AEW WrestleDream, and it really feels like this could be Danielson’s swansong.
Ospreay finally cutting ties with Callis is overdue, and the tension with Kyle Fletcher is a nice touch. Willow Nightingale is a solid contender for Mariah May, and she picked up a quality win to earn the match. Jay White’s feud with “Hangman” Adam Page has heated up nicely, and Swerve Strickland’s return adds even more excitement to AEW WrestleDream. Daniel Garcia’s return was a welcome surprise, and hopefully the company invests in him.
As go-home shows go, it’s hard to ask for more than this.
