Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes made a special appearance on WWE RAW.
Rhodes was shown backstage, and he was asked about what happened at WWE Bad Blood. There, The Rock returned after Rhodes and Roman Reigns beat Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu. Plus, Kevin Owens attacked Rhodes in the parking lot.
Rhodes noted that he could not speculate on what happened at WWE Bad Blood. Instead, he was there to find out what it takes to be the Crown Jewel Champion. He also spoke with Sami Zayn, who noted that he wanted to be the one who faced him for the Crown Jewel Championship. Rhodes replied by saying that he wanted that as well, and he wished him luck.
Update: Gunther defeated Zayn to retain the World Heavyweight Championship in the main event. Rhodes came out after the bell and stared Gunther down, as they are set to clash at WWE Crown Jewel.
