Our AEW Collision results for tonight include some big matches, including a match with a shot for the AEW World Tag Team Championships on the line, Darby Allin going up against Johnny TV, and Kris Statlander in action. Elsewhere in the night, the Premier Athletes will go up against The Conglomeration, Willow Nightingale and Trish Adora go at it, and more.

Darby Allin and Johnny TV Go At It
Darby Allin vs. Johnny TV
The opening match of the night saw Allin walk out with a big win despite looking like he might lose from the start. TV started things off with a Russian leg sweep and then continued to show the offense off, but missed a big splash on the steel steps outside of the ring to allow Allin to gain some momentum. Darby then hit a Coffin Drop on the outside, and almost hit a Razor’s Edge before Johnny spun out of it. In the end, though, Allin dodged a Starship Pain and then combo’d up a Code Red with a Coffin Drop for the win.
After the match, Allin took to the mic and challenged anyone who wanted to face him at WrestleDream to come out and say so. Nobody came out, and Allin began berating the group of superstars as complacent before Brody King eventually came out. The two got into it for a bit before King powerbombed Allin onto the ramp outside of the ring, and accepted his challenge.
Grade: B
The match itself was more or less average, but the set up for King vs. Allin at WrestleDream was nice to see. That should be an awesome match between two of the best to do it.
The Outrunners Shine
The Outrunners vs. Grizzled Young Veterans
This one was over just as it started, pretty much. The Outrunners nearly got caught in the Doomsday Device, but broke out of it, and then promptly rolled up one of the Grizzled Young Veterans to score an absolutely shocking victory.
Grade: C
Uh…well, that was something. That match was a lot of nothing, really, but was good for a fun laugh, I suppose.
Britt Baker was in a backstage segment where she talked about the AEW Women’s World Championship picture, and how she deserves to belong in it. She said she’s been keeping an eye on and watching Mariah May, and is now ready to fight, and her road to redemption begins now.
Willow Nightingale and The Conglomeration are taking part in an interview backstage. Willow says that Baker will have to wait her turn, because she’s actually going after May first. Briscoe then went completely off on Chris Jericho.
Willow Nightingale And Trish Adora Duke It Out
Willow Nightingale vs. Trish Adora
In another relatively quick match, Nightingale got the advantage early and never let it go. With Mariah May watching from the front row, Adora was simply no match for Nightingale, and Willow ended things with a massive powerbomb for the win.
After the match, May tried to get involved and slap Willow, but Nightingale caught it and dragged her over the barricade and onto the mat. Nightingale tried a powerbomb, but May slipped out of it, and then got the slap in on Willow anyway before running off.
Grade: B-
All in all, not the worst match, but more enjoyable for the post-match shenanigans than anything. May and Willow will be a good feud, especially with Britt Baker now looking to get involved and shake things up in the AEW Women’s division.
In a backstage segment with Mariah May, Christopher Daniels quickly interrupted her. Daniels said that it’ll be Willow Nightingale vs. Britt Baker at Title Tuesday, with the winner of that match getting a match against May for the AEW Women’s World Championship at WrestleDream. May clearly wasn’t happy, and stormed off after telling Daniels to blow it out of his ass.
Wheeler Yuta Gets Angry Again
Wheeler Yuta vs. Beef
Yuta absolutely dominated Beef in this one, and was once again extremely angry throughout. After getting in a ton of punches in on Beef, he locked in the Cattle Mutilation for the submission victory.
The win didn’t do much for Yuta, who looked conflicted as he looked over at Jon Moxley, PAC, and Marina Shafir, who were all watching from the audience.
Grade: B-
The match itself was a big nothing burger, but the storyline between Yuta and the rest of BCC is an interesting one. Yuta’s constant aggression in these matches is a nice touch, too, and shows off a bit more range from the superstar than we’ve seen before.
Orange Cassidy & Kyle O’Reilly Face Off Against The Premier Athletes
Orange Cassidy & Kyle O’Reilly vs. Premier Athletes
This one was mostly a back-and-forth affair from the start, but got a bit chaotic at the end. Late in the match, Orange Cassidy looked prime to end things with an Orange Punch, but Mark Sterling distracted the ref and kept the match going. Josh Woods then dragged Cassidy out of the ring, and then hit a low blow on Rocky Romero who was on hand to try and help.
Mark Briscoe then came running out and made the save. This allowed Cassidy to take out Mark Sterling, and then hit an Orange Punch on Tony Nese. The match came to an end with Cassidy and O’Reilly pinning and submitting the Athletes simultaneously, respectively.
Grade: B
Cassidy and O’Reilly just know how to put on a show, and when they’re both on in a match, it’s fun to see. The late-match shenanigans from Sterling/Woods/Romero/Briscoe were also pretty fun, even if a bit unnecessary to see.
4-Way Match Keeps the Action Going
Hologram vs. Komander vs. Nick Wayne vs. Action Andretti
The 4-way match started off as absolutely chaotic as you could imagine, with all four men going at it from the very beginning. They also participated in a sequence of back-to-back-to-back-to-back incredible moves, which included Komander once again showing off his athleticism and high-flying prowess.
In the end, Komander dropped Hologram with a shooting star press off a top rope walk, and Nick Wayne got in there and hit the Wayne’s World on Komander to take him out. Andretti then got in on the action, tossing Wayne out of the ring. Hologram was finally able to get back on his feet, and hit his finisher on Andretti for the win.
Grade: B+
It’s always fun to watch these guys do what they do, especially in certain moments like that insane sequence of moves. Hologram winning in the end moves his winning streak up to 13, so it’ll be interesting to see what they have him do next.
Kris Statlander Dominates
Kris Statlander vs. Zoey Lynn
This one was over before it even started, and Statlander absolutely squashed Lynn with a quick win. After the match, Mercedes Moné came down to talk some trash, and Kamille followed after her after some back-and-forth between Statlander and Moné. Statlander and Kamille got at it, with Statlander eventually taken out after a distraction by Moné.
Grade: C
I don’t know how you even grade something like this. Statlander just dominated. It got a bit more interesting after Moné and Kamille came down, but there wasn’t too much here, sadly.
AEW World Tag Team Title Shot on the Line
Private Party vs. Top Flight vs. House of Black
In the main event of the night, the three tag teams went at it with the winner getting a tag team title shot. All three teams were going at it from the start, but it was Private Party who would do just enough to come out on top. Late in the match, House of Black got interrupted by Action Andretti, who showed up and threw a drink at Buddy Matthews.
The entire group then left to deal with him, allowing Dante Martin to get the upper hand and dive through the ropes on top of the group, which was quickly followed up by Kassidy. In the chaos, Private Party got Dante Martin back in the ring, and hit the Gin and Juice on him to grab the pin.
Grade: B+
While the match itself wasn’t anything special, Private Party getting a title shot is absolutely awesome. They’ve continued to rise in the rankings of AEW tag teams, and getting a chance at the belts on the big stage is very well deserved.

Overall, this was a pretty solid show, all things considered. Setting up the Private Party title match and Willow Nightingale/Britt Baker match for Title Tuesday were worth watching, and seeing Yuta’s storyline progress was also great. There were some matches here that simply didn’t need to happen, though, but that’s the case with most shows nowadays.
