Bron Breakker has spoken about his current relationship with Bill Goldberg.
Goldberg clearly inspired the former NXT Champion in his move set. He used the spear, innovated by the WCW legend, as well as a number of other impressive moves from Goldberg’s arsenal.
Bron Breakker recently spoke with The Wrestling Classic, who asked Breakker what the best piece of advice Goldberg gave him as he broke into the business.
The former Intercontinental Champion noted that it wasn’t just one thing he told him. Goldberg is Bron Breakker’s friend, going back to his father travelling him with back in the WCW days.
He called Goldberg a “part of our family”, and he likes being back in a “football environment” when talking about Goldberg’s son.
Bron Breakker on Goldberg
“Not one piece, not one thing. You know, Goldberg’s always been a friend of mine, and he was a friend of my dad’s back in the day. They rode together and did a lot of cool things. Goldberg’s always been a part of our family.”
“In our basement, where I grew up, there were pictures of the stuff that my dad and Scotty did on the road—all these trips, all these fun things, and places they got to see. And I always see Bill in a lot of those pictures. You know, Big Boss Man, just their crew that they rode with. Bill was always a part of that.”
“So, it’s really cool. It’s good to see him, good to talk with him. It was nice to catch up and talk about his son because his son’s on Colorado’s football team. I went, and it was cool, man. It was just good to be in a football environment again. It’s been a few years since I’ve been on a field for game day. It was cool.”
