AEW Dynamite Viewership Increases On 9/25, Demo Also Rises

AEW Dynamite saw an increase in viewership on September 25.

According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, 702,000 viewers watched the show on Wednesday night, and drew a 0.23 rating in the 18 to 49 demographic. The viewership is up from last week’s episode when 687,000 viewers tuned in. The demo also rose from last week‘s episode, which drew a 0.22 rating in the same demographic.

What happened on AEW Dynamite this week?

This week’s show kicked off with Bryan Danielson defeating Nigel McGuinness. Christian Cage attempted to cash in his contract afterward but was stopped by Kip Sabian.

The Young Bucks defeated Will Ospreay and Kyle Fletcher to retain the AEW World Tag Team Titles.

MVP made his surprise debut for the company by confronting Prince Nana. MVP made it clear that he should be the one representing Swerve Strickland instead of Nana.

The main event of the show saw Jon Moxley defeat Darby Allin to become the number one contender for Bryan Danielson’s AEW World Championship. The two men will face each other next month at WrestleDream.
