Janel Grant’s Lawyer: ‘Mr. McMahon’ Only Scratches The Surface Of Vince McMahon’s Criminal Behavior

Janel Grant’s attorney has issued a statement about the “Mr. McMahon” docuseries about Vince McMahon.

“Mr. McMahon” premiered on Netflix on September 25. The six-part series highlights Vince McMahon’s life with a series of interviews. Many of the interviews were recorded before McMahon resigned from WWE amid allegations of sexual misconduct in 2022. In January 2024, Janel Grant filed a lawsuit against McMahon, John Laurinaitis, and WWE, alleging that she was the victim of sexual assault and trafficking. McMahon denied the allegations but resigned from WWE.

Brandon Thurston shared the following statement about the “Mr. McMahon” docuseries from Ann Callis, Janel Grant’s attorney:

“The ‘Mr. McMahon’ docuseries makes it clear there is no difference between Vince McMahon’s on-air persona and his true self, they are one and the same. His “character” – known for violent outbursts, sexual deviance, and manipulation – is the real Vince McMahon and exactly what Janel Grant experienced behind closed doors at WWE for years.

“While the docuseries put McMahon’s obsession with power and control on full display, it only scratches the surface of his criminal behavior and it fails to tell the full story of his abuse, sexual assault, and human trafficking of Ms. Grant. She deserves the opportunity to tell her story, on her own time, and in her own way. We look forward to her day in court and to seeing McMahon at last held accountable for his actions.”

Janel Grant declined to be interviewed for the docuseries. The federal investigation into the allegations is ongoing.
