Tony Khan highlights the depth of AEW‘s roster.
On the September 18 episode of AEW Dynamite, AEW announced that Ricochet would face Will Ospreay on the October 2 episode. The announcement sparked some controversy, as some critics said it was too soon to have the longtime foes clash, given that Ricochet debuted at AEW All In.
Tony Khan recently spoke with Dave LeGreca of Busted Open Radio. In highlight, Ospreay’s upcoming match against Ricochet came up in the conversation, and the AEW CEO was asked about putting such a big match on television. (H/t Jeremy Lambert of Fightful for the transcription)
“That’s why I think it makes perfect sense with these big stages. We have the greatest roster ever. There is an unlimited supply of huge matches. These are matches that have been building since the people arrived at AEW.”
