Tony Khan: I Can Say With 100% Certainty That AEW, TNT And TBS Are Here To Stay For A Long Time

Tony Khan has confirmed that AEW on TNT and TBS is here to stay.

The company have built up a solid relationship with Warner Brothers Discovery since their formation in 2019. They signed a deal to air AEW Dynamite on TNT in 2019, before moving it to TBS in 2022.

Tony Khan has since created two new shows in Rampage and Collision. AEW now show five hours of content on the Warner Brothers Discovery network weekly, and are locked in negotiations to keep their shows on the station.

Khan spoke with Busted Open Radio about AEW’s future on TNT and TBS. He shot down rumors of a three-to-four year deal being agreed, revealing nobody has confirmed a deal yet.

While the $170 million per year deal sounds like an excellent deal for AEW, Tony Khan is keeping quiet about the status of the negotiations.

The AEW President added that AEW’s goal was to bring wrestling back to TNT and TBS. With that being said, he said it was “100% certain” that AEW remains on the network for the foreseeable future.

“There’s a lot of reports and rumors.” Tony Khan told Busted Open Radio. “But I have not confirmed, and Warner Brothers have not confirmed anything officially. But it is an exciting time for AEW and Warner Brothers Discovery.”

“All the people at Warner Brothers Discovery have been so great to us. I think we have a really exciting future there. I can say with 100% certainty that AEW and TBS and TNT are here to stay for a long time. And that means a lot to me. We talk about all this wrestling history and AEW wrestling history. A big part of AEW from the very beginning is bringing wrestling back to TNT and TBS.” Tony Khan added.
