Ethan Page Responds To ‘I Quit My Job To Be Here’ Sign At WWE Raw: Me Too

Ethan Page jokes about his journey to WWE.

Page left AEW/ROH earlier in 2024 and made his surprise debut on the May 28 episode of NXT. Within a matter of weeks, he captured the NXT Championship at NXT Heatwave, and he continues to hold the gold.

Page took to Twitter to respond to a picture of a fan who had a, “I quit my job to be here” sign at the September 16 episode of WWE RAW. The NXT Champion briefly wrote, “Me too lady.”

Page is set to defend the NXT Championship against Trick Williams on the October 1 episode of WWE NXT.

Shawn Michaels On Ethan Page

Shawn Michaels previously discussed Ethan Page coming to NXT. Speaking on Good Karma Wrestling, he shared his thoughts on how he assessed Page’s value before he came to WWE.

“As soon as I found out that he was available, it was something that I started looking into immediately,” Shawn Michaels said. “You’re talking about a great deal of experience, seasoned, comfortable. [He’s] somebody that knows that they’re doing out there. But also at the same time, I didn’t know everything about him. But you sort of look at him, and you say, ‘I think there’s a lot of untapped potential there.’ You can hear different stories, this, that and the other, you never know what’s true.

“But you just see potential, and you think, ‘Has he ever been given the opportunity? Let’s just find out if he has.’ Again, if he falls short, you fall short, and then you get dropped to the bottom of the card. But he’s a guy that we sort of took on, he took a chance with us, and right now, I think you see that it’s been pretty successful.”
