The rivalry between CM Punk and the Scottish Warrior Drew McIntyre has been growing for over nine months now. McIntyre especially has been taking their feud to new heights. One thing he did to upset CM Punk was take a picture with a wrestler who Punk had a legitimate issue with. It was none other than the Scape Goat Jack Perry.
While speaking to Chris Van Vliet on his Insight Podcast, Drew McIntyre shared how he ended up snapping a photo with Jack Perry. He also mentioned that he enjoyed that fans having a meltdown over the photo.
“I was flying to LA and they just did a show the night before. I’d seen Roderick Strong at the airport, a buddy of mine, and we got to catch up, which was awesome. He was heading to an ROH show I believe. And then on the flight, just saw Jack, had a little chat with him and his missus, and then we snapped a picture, and the internet had a freaking meltdown. It was hilarious.”
McIntyre deleted the picture shortly after he posted it. The Scottish Warrior also was amazed by the fact that the photo garnered over two million impressions in just 45 minutes. He also shared that he is always dancing on a thin line of what is acceptable and what is not.
“I think it lasted 45 minutes. The numbers I heard were 2 million impressions or something insane for 45 minutes. It was pretty wild. People enjoyed that immensely. So, yeah, I’m always dancing on that line of what’s acceptable, not acceptable. Make people question things,” Drew McIntyre said.
McIntyre said he won’t share the reason he deleted it (or if someone made him do it) because he likes people asking questions about the situation.
