Trick Williams has gone all out for his match against Pete Dunne on NXT.
The two Superstars have been at odds for the last few weeks. Dunne attacked Williams on an episode of NXT at the end of July. He did so again on Sunday, after the main event of NXT No Mercy 2024.
Trick Williams was the special guest referee for the Joe Hendry vs Ethan Page match for the NXT Championship. However, he is now looking to step into the ring to face off with Pete Dunne, but not before he stepped into the booth to let his true feelings be known.
Trick Williams released a diss track on Pete Dunne on YouTube, ahead of their match on this week’s episode of NXT. The song, titled “The Realist”, mocked the Englishman’s accent, referenced his joint manipulation in matches, and even called him a “wanker”.
In the song, he made numerous references to “Butch”, the name Pete Dunne used for the majority of his time on the main roster.
This has been a sore spot for the former United Kingdom Champion. It has been a key part of his feud with Sheamus in recent weeks. His anger looks likely to bleed through onto Trick Williams, and could make their match on this week’s episode of NXT even more explosive.

“Man, I think the product that we have here at NXT is a direct reflection of Shawn Michaels’ leadership,” Trick Williams said. “You know what I mean? He teaches us, he trains us to move, to keep everything exciting. And that’s what we do, man. We bring that action. We got something to prove. You can compare us to FBS, SEC-like football compared to the pro.
“Yeah, the pros, they make the big bucks. They’re doing big things. But those guys in college, man, they hungry. They can’t wait to get to the next level. That’s us here at NXT, we hungry. We wanna prove ourselves every single time we in that ring.”
