Damian Priest says he and Rhea Ripley outgrew The Judgment Day.
The Judgment Day turned on Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley at WWE SummerSlam. The two sides have been feuding ever since. At WWE Bash in Berlin, Priest and Ripley beat Dominik Mysterio and Liv Morgan.
At the WWE Bash in Berlin post-show, Damian Priest and Rhe Ripley discussed their victory. In one highlight, they were asked to discuss their mindset about parting ways with The Judgment Day.
“Look, the idea of The Judgment Day was, we got together to elevate each other because we felt weren’t in the position that we believed that we belong in,” he said. “We’re in the spot that we know we belong in. We’ve won world titles while we were in The Judgment Day. That’s exactly what was the point. Now, this new crew, they felt slighted because it wasn’t about them. I get it, but we grew, and I think we outgrew The Judgment Day anyway.
“So if anything, they did us a favor, and as you can hear, our new family [the fans], I like them very much. So of course, we built a bond, we built a friendship, and we did feel like a family, so of course there’s a part of us that hurts, and that’s probably why we’re so angry about this, this betrayal. But they’re gonna regret this.”
