Wrestling World Reacts To The Passing Of Kevin Sullivan

The wrestling world reacts to Kevin Sullivan passing away; Triple H, Ric Flair, and others paid tribute to the legend.

Wrestling legend Kevin Sullivan passed away at the age of 74 after dealing with some health issues in recent months. He had a memorable run in WCW, both on-screen in the Dungeon of Doom and behind the scenes as the booker. Sullivan worked with stars like Hulk Hogan and Dusty Rhodes, among many others, throughout his career.

On WWE’s official website, the company issued the following statement about Kevin Sullivan’s passing:

“WWE is saddened to learn Kevin Sullivan has passed away at age 74.

A unique and influential figure in sports-entertainment history, Sullivan found success both in the ring and behind the scenes with his penchant for far out ideas that pushed creative boundaries.

As a villain, Sullivan was a major rival for the ring’s most legendary heroes, including Dusty Rhodes, Hulk Hogan and The Road Warriors. He specialized in leading dangerous factions, which included his wicked Army of Darkness, collegiate bullies The Varsity Club, and the wild Dungeon of Doom, which introduced Big Show to the wrestling world. The onetime “Taskmaster” also became a creative force behind the scenes for WCW.

WWE extends its condolences to Sullivan’s family, friends and fans.”

Triple H shared his thoughts on Kevin Sullivan’s passing and highlighted his passion and his creativity.

Ric Flair took to Twitter and commented on the news, as he called Sullivan an all-time great athlete and friend.

Diamond Dallas Page noted that Sullivan’s passing hurt is heart. He said that he was talking to Ric Flair recently, and Flair said that Sullivan was not doing well.

Eric Bischoff also commented on the news.
