Darby Allin Comments On How CM Punk Incident At AEW All In Helped Jack Perry

Darby Allin comments on how the CM Punk incident at AEW All In helped Jack Perry.

Jack Perry was involved in a backstage altercation with CM Punk at AEW All In. The incident led to Punk’s termination from AEW. Perry was suspended, and he returned months later at AEW Dynasty. Since then, Perry has reached new heights as a member of The Elite. He later won the TNT Championship.

Speaking with Ringside Collectibles at San Diego Comic-Con, Darby Allin commented on facing Jack Perry at AEW All In. He looked back on AEW All In 2023. Allin also noted that the incident between Punk and Perry helped him because it made him find his niche.

“It was made official, me and Jack Perry at All In,” Darby Allin said. “So much has happened in a year, it’s wild. It’s really interesting because I felt like last year, Jack Perry was going into All In as a heel, but I really didn’t feel like he found his niche. Unfortunately, [laughs] he did what he did, but weirdly enough, I feel like that actually made him find his niche.

“They say wrestling’s the best when you’re yourself turned up to a hundred, and he’s just a douchebag. So it’s kind of cool that he can just be his normal self.”
