Bryan Danielson Says His Neck ‘Isn’t Doing So Great Right Now’

Bryan Danielson confirms that he is healthy, but his neck “isn’t doing so great” ahead of AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door.

Bryan Danielson has previously said that 2024 will be his last year as a full-time wrestler. He has also stated that his doctor told him he would need to get surgery soon. Danielson has remained active, and he is set to face Shingo Takagi at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door.

Speaking with Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated, Bryan Danielson looked forward to the pay-per-view and commented on his health. Barrasso noted that Danielson confirmed that he is healthy and cleared to wrestle.

“My neck isn’t doing so great right now,” Bryan Danielson said. “This is my chance to wrestle Shingo again, and Forbidden Door is one of my favorite pay-per-views. That’s because of the uniqueness of it. Five years ago, multiple promotions didn’t work together to put on a super show. Now CMLL and Stardom are involved. This didn’t exist before. I love this show.”

WrestleZone will have coverage of AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door as it airs on June 30.
