WWE is reportedly making big plans for The CW debut of NXT this October.
The CW announced earlier today on social media that WWE NXT will debut on the channel on Tuesday, October 1. However, we now have more information regarding WWE’s plans for this historic event.
According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, early plans have been for the premiere episode to take place outside of the WWE Performance Center in Orlando and in a large arena instead.
Johnson states WWE and The CW want to treat the NXT debut as a major event. One source compared it to an early NXT Takeover in terms of overall importance to the brand. While several locations have been discussed, it appears Chicago has been at the forefront in recent days due to it being the home of Nexstar Media Group, which currently owns The CW.
