Oba Femi defended the NXT North American Championship at WWE NXT Battleground.
At WWE NXT Battleground, Oba Femi put his title on the line against former champion Wes Lee and Joe Coffey. Lee aimed to regain the title, but the dominant reigning champion stood in his way. Lee used his quickness to counter Femi’s power throughout the bout.
Coffey controlled stretches of the match, and he also had help when his Gallus stablemates interfered twice.
In the end, despite the interference of Gallus, Femi clinched the win by slamming Coffey.
