AEW Dynamite Viewership Increases On 5/29, Demo Also Rises

AEW Dynamite saw an increase in viewership on May 29.

According to Wrestlenomics, 787,000 viewers watched the show on Wednesday night, drawing a 0.25 rating in the 18 to 49 demographic. The viewership is up from last week’s episode, when 713,000 viewers tuned in. The demo also slightly rose from last week‘s episode, which drew a 0.24 rating in the same demographic.

What happened on AEW Dynamite this week?

This week’s show kicked off with a TBS Championship celebration for Mercedes Moné. It was interrupted by Skye Blue who revealed herself to be Mercedes’ attack several weeks back.

This led to Mercedes Moné’s Dynamite in-ring debut later in the evening. She defeated Skye Blue to retain her championship.

AEW World Champion Swerve Strickland was also in action, defeating Killswitch. Following the match, Strickland cut a lock of Killswitch’s hair off in retaliation.

The main event saw Will Ospreay win the Casino Gauntlet to challenge Swerve Strickland for the AEW World Championship at Forbidden Door. Strickland faced off with Ospreay to close the show.
