WWE SmackDown‘s viewership increased on May 3.
Wrestlenomics (via Programming Insider) reports that SmackDown averaged 2.148 million viewers on May 3. This number is slightly up from last week, when an average of 2.143 million viewers tuned in.
In the 18 to 49 demographic, SmackDown scored a 0.60 rating. This is also up from last week (0.58 rating in the same demographic). SmackDown was up against the NBA and NHL playoffs on Friday, and it ranked #1 in the demographic among broadcast primetime shows.
Friday’s episode aired on a delay in the United States, as the show was held in France.
What happened on WWE SmackDown this week?
This week’s show kicked off with an eight-woman tag that saw Bianca Belair, Jade Cargill, Bayley, and Naomi defeat Damage CTRL and Tiffany Stratton.
A-Town Down Under defeated The Street Profits to retain the WWE Tag Team Titles.
LA Knight was also in action and picked up a win over Angel. Following the match, Knight declared himself for the King of the Ring tournament.
The close of the show witnessed a face-to-face between Cody Rhodes and AJ Styles ahead of their match at WWE Backlash on Saturday.
