Mariah May says she has always looked up to Toni Storm.
In an interview with Ring The Belle, Mariah May commented on working with Toni Storm in AEW.
“It’s such a special relationship,” Mariah May said. “I mean, obviously, I’ve always been a big fan of Toni. In the UK, Toni was that girl. She did the whole STARDOM thing, she did the American thing, she did it all. So I’ve always looked up to her, and when I came to AEW, I was like, I can actually meet her, and I get under her wing and learn everything and dress up as her.
Mariah May also commented on dressing up as Toni Storm. She recalled how the crowd popped the first time she did it.
“Honestly, the crowd popped so hard,” she said. “I had goosebumps, and then I realized, well, it’s not really for me. I was like, they’re going crazy out there, and it’s actually not for me. It’s for her [laughs].”
