Roman Reigns says his battle against leukemia remains part of his life, but it does not affect his ability to perform.
Roman Reigns previously had to step away from WWE after he was diagnosed with leukemia. He returned in February 2019 and announced that he was in remission. Since then, he has captured both the Universal and WWE Championships. Reigns headlined WrestleMania 40 Night One, and during the match, Pat McAfee noted that Reigns was still battling leukemia.
During the WrestleMania 40 Post-Show Press Conference, Roman Reigns was asked about his battle with chemotherapy.
“I’m still on oral chemotherapy,” Roman Reigns said. “It’s a medication that I’m gonna have to remain on my entire life, most likely. So yeah, that’s just a part of my personal battle. It doesn’t affect, thank god I’m still able to perform.
“I think anybody in my position would say that health is wealth, and as long as I continue to perform, then you already know that that’s at bay. So we’re good, we’re still in remission. But it is something that’s still a part of my life.”
