Very few female stars have been a part of multiple eras in the world of professional wrestling like Maria Kanellis. She has been part of the WWE during its Ruthless Aggression Era and also returned to be part of the ‘New’ Era. During her absence from WWE, she was playing a major role in promotions such as Ring of Honor, IMPACT Wrestling (TNA Wrestling), and New Japan Pro Wrestling. Currently, Kanellis, along with her husband Mike Bennett, are in AEW.
Currently, Mike Bennett and his tag team partner Matt Taven are part of a faction along with Roderick Strong and Wardlow. The faction is led by Adam Cole and calls themselves The Undisputed Kingdom.
It is to be noted that Micke Bennett, Matt Taven, and Adam Cole were a faction together in Ring of Honor calling themselves The Kingdom. Maria Kanellis was also part of the faction. But currently, Kanellis has not been seen on AEW for a while. She has not been part the Undisputed Kingdom, however, she has a regular role on ROH television working with Griff Garrison and Cole Karter. A fan took to Twitter to question Kanellis’ absence in AEW.
Maria Kanellis replied to the fan by stating that it is what it is and that she will always continue to grow in the business.
“It is what it is. I always figure out how to make the most of any situation. I was ditzy, lost every match, broke bones, changed companies, pregnant, fired, and 20 years later here I am. Luckily I’m working with two incredibly talented individuals that will continue to grow with experience and opportunity. Although I think the Kingdom could have used the help last night,” Maria Kanellis tweeted.
