Bryan Danielson will be in action on the March 16 episode of AEW Collision.
In a tweet, Tony Khan announced that Bryan Danielson will face former ROH Pure Champion Katsuyori Shibata on the March 16 episode of AEW Collision. This will mark Shibata’s first match in AEW since November 25, where he lost the ROH Pure Championship to Wheeler Yuta on AEW Rampage.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful (via Fightful Select) previously reported that Shibata was forced to return to Japan in November due to urgent visa issues. The circumstances were the reason why he dropped the ROH Pure Championship to Wheeler Yuta. At the time, Sapp wrote that Tony Khan had big hopes and plans for Shibata, who was said to be very happy in AEW.
In a new report, Sapp wrote that Shibata’s visa situation was resolved this week. AEW then quickly booked the match against Danielson for AEW Collision.
Khan also announced that TBS Champion Julia Hart will defend her title against Trish Adora on AEW Collision.
Update: AEW announced that Adam Copeland will speak on the show. He will challenge Christian Cage for the TNT Championship in an “I Quit” Match on the March 20 episode of Dynamite. Additionally, The Infantry will face The House of Black in an AEW World Tag Team Championship Tournament Wild Card match, and PAC will face Komander.
