Nick Khan has been identified in the lawsuit that was filed against Vince McMahon.
Tim Marchman, John Pollock, and Brandon Thurston of Front Office Sports report that WWE President Nick Khan and COO Brad Blum have been identified as Corporate Officers No. 1 and 2 in the sex trafficking lawsuit that Janel Grant filed against McMahon, Laurinaitis, and WWE in January. Khan and Blum were previously not identified. Front Office Sports has identified them as the two other anonymous corporate officers. The report notes that they cross-checked the details of the suit against publicly available records and information from sources available with WWE.
According to the suit, Khan, Blum, and others were involved in facilitating and covering up exploitation in ways that make WWE liable under federal anti-trafficking law.
Vince McMahon’s daughter, Stephanie McMahon has also been identified as Corporate Officer No. 3. She is only vaguely referenced once in the suit. The suit alleges that she knew “of other instances of [Vince] McMahon engaging in inappropriate sexual conduct.”
Brian Nurse, formerly general counsel and head of WWE’s legal department, was identified as Corporate Officier No. 4. Front Office Sports notes that he did not respond to a direct message or a request for comment. Additionally, WWE declined to comment on the terms of his exit.
Ann Callis, the attorney for Janel Grant, confirmed that the names are correct.
WWE’s Statement
WWE responded to the news with a statement through a spokesperson for the company. The statement is as follows:
“WWE takes Ms. Grant’s allegations very seriously and has no tolerance for any physical abuse or unwanted physical contact,” a WWE spokesperson said in a statement. “Neither Nick Khan nor Brad Blum, prior to the lawsuit being filed on January 25, 2024, were aware of any allegation by Ms. Grant that she was the victim of abuse or unwanted physical contact; nor does the complaint allege that either had knowledge of such.”
Front Office Sports notes that, in the suit, McMahon “presented” Khan and Blum as his “key fixers”, and that Grant met with Blum. The report states that Grant told McMahon that Khan responded to her introducing herself by saying he knew exactly who she was. Grant alleged that McMahon told her that he told Blum and Khan about this relationship. They voiced concerns to him as to whether she could be trusted. A WWE spokesperson denied that this conversation happened, according to the report.
The suit does not explicitly claim that Khan, Blum, or the others knew about any alleged acts of sexual assault or otherwise abusive treatment.
Grant’s lawsuit alleges that McMahon and Laurinaitis engaged in sexual assault and sex trafficking of Grant. McMahon and Laurinaitis have denied the allegations. A spokesperson for McMahon has said that the lawsuit is “replete with lies“. McMahon resigned from WWE and TKO on January 26. He is under federal investigation regarding the allegations.
