WWE RAW is still looking for a temporary home.
It was announced last month that WWE RAW will move to Netflix in January 2025 after decades of airing on the USA Network. However, the current USA Network deal expires in October 2024, leaving the fourth quarter a mystery for where RAW may air.
During the TKO Q4 2023 Earnings Call on Tuesday, TKO CFO Andrew Schleimer addressed the situation and noted that WWE intends to find a temporary home for RAW in between deals. (H/t to Fightful for the transcription)
“We also intend to renew our license or find an alternate provider to carry Raw in the U.S. for the 90-day period from October 1, 2024 through December 31, 2024 before it moves to Netflix as described below,” Schleimer said. “These domestic licenses together account for a very significant portion of our media segment revenues and profitability. No assurances can be provided as to the outcome of these negotiations and, if we are unable to renew existing agreements or find alternative streaming or distribution partners, our results of operations could be adversely impacted.”
Schleimer added that they feel “positive” about RAW airing at the end of this year, while no new information is available at this time.
WrestleZone will continue to provide updates as more information becomes available.
